Vincent J. Masiello launched the timer rebuilding department in 1960 at Sid Harvey's in Valley Stream, New York, which was the starting point for REECO TIMER CO. Founded in 1968 by Vincent J. Masiello, REECO TIMER CO. became the second largest rebuilder of commercial and domestic timers for washers, dryers and dishwashers.

From 1968-1993, the company was located in Hempstead, Long Island, New York. It moved to Florida in 1993, where four years later, Vincent's son, Vincent M. Masiello took ownership of the company.

Vincent M. Masiello reconfigured REECO TIMER CO. to accommodate the growing commercial trade of timers for uses in institutions and commercial laundromats, phasing out the domestic trade.
